Ann's Obituary
Ann M. Greenman, 72, of Benton Harbor formerly of South Haven died Thursday, March 15 at Berrien General Hospital in Berrien Springs.
She was born January 25, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Albert W. and Emily M. (Marshall) Plaehn. Ann worked as a registered nurse and worked at South Haven Community Hospital, Watervliet Hospital and she was an industrial nurse for Bohn Aluminum for 18 years. Ann retired from Ausco in Benton Harbor. Ann was a member of the Red Cross and served on the board for a number of years, and later worked as a volunteer at the VanBuren Chapter.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her daughters – Dedra Lynn Greenman who died in 2000.
She is survived by her sister – Patricia (Leon) Sowell of South Haven, Michigan. One brother – Albert W. (Bernice)Plaehn of Bay City, Michigan. Six nieces and nephews – David (Christine) Sowell of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Kathleen (Tom) Restrick of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ruth (Walter) Lehenbauer of Cloquet, Minnesota, Elizabeth (Eddie) O’Meara of Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Claudia (Bill) Weesner of Hamilton, Indiana and Bill (Marla) Plaehn of Westminster, Colorado. Three great nephews and four great nieces who will miss her very much very much also survive.
A private family service will be held. Burial will take place at McDowell Cemetery. Memorial contribution can be made to the VanBuren Chapter of the American Red Cross at P.O.
