Frances Jean's Obituary

Frances Jean VanDeWiele, 64, of Pullman died Sunday, February 25 at her home.

She was born February 6, 1943 in Holland, Michigan to Henry and Gertrude (Poppema) Kuipers. Frances graduated from Holland High School in 1962. She was a LPN Nurse and worked in home health care. Frances married George VanDeWiele on April 18, 1999 in South Haven, Michigan. She loved her crafts, cooking and caning. Frances was a former member of the Church of the Epiphany and Trinity Reformed Church of Holland. Presently, Frances was a member of Ganges United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband, George who died in 2001.

She is survived by two step-children – Carol VanDerWiele of Borculo, Michigan and Barbara (Tom) Criffield of Hamilton, Michigan. Three step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren. Two brothers – Henry (Sharon) Kuipers Jr. of Live Oaks, California and Dell (Maryln) Kuipers of Hudsonville, Michigan. One sister – Joanne (Fred) Hamlin of Fennville, Michigan also survives.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 1 from 6 – 8 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Jean M. Smith officiating.
