Robert Lee's Obituary
Robert Lee Grines, 80, of South Haven died Sunday, February 4, 2007 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
He was born May 22, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Marcella (Bogdansky) Grines. Robert received his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Illinois Technical Institute. Robert served his country in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant. Robert was a self employed Civil Engineer. He enjoyed gardening and had a real green thumb. Robert also enjoyed reading books and the newspaper.
He is survived by his son – Steve (Diza) Grines of Hiddenway Hills, Ohio. Four daughters – Joyce ( Lloyd) Anderson of Hager City, Wisconsin, Lorelei Grines of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Lynette Grines of La Honda, California and Cindy (Rick) Grines of West Bloomfield, Michigan, five grandchildren and one brother – Donald Grines of Galveston, Texas also survives.
Visitation will be Monday February 5, 2007 from 6 to 8 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM at St. Basil Catholic Church with Rev. Father John Young officiating. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forrest Park, Illinois.
