Arbor's Obituary
Arbor Antcliff, 85, of South Haven died Sunday, January 28 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He was born December 11, 1921 in Atlanta, Michigan to Joseph and Hattie (Essner) Antcliff. Arbor served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II. Arbor married Joy vonBlanckensee on March 11, 1944 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Arbor worked as a mechanic supervisor for the Michigan Department of Transportation retiring after 21 years. He attended Life Gate Baptist Church in Bangor, Michigan.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers – Calvin Antcliff in 1994 and Roa Antcliff in 1995.
He is survived by his wife – Joy Antcliff of South Haven, Michigan. Four children – Janette (John A. II) Borchardt, of Coloma, Michigan, Graeme (Maureen) Antcliff of Chinderah, New South Wales, Australia, Bruce Antcliff of Hudsonville, Michigan and Duane (Cathy) Antcliff of Portage, Michigan. 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 – 11 on Wednesday, January 31 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Theron Crawford officiating. Burial will take place on Thursday at 2:30 P.M. at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. Memorial contributions can be made to American Heart and Lung Association, the Veterans Hospital of Battle Creek or Anchor Baptist Church, Maple Grove.
