Dan Pratt

Dan J. Pratt, 94, of South Haven died Wednesday, December 13 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.He was born October 26, 1912 in South Haven, Michigan to Clifford and Susan (Foster) Pratt. Dan married Imo Hardy on November 11, 1935 in South Bend, Indiana. Dan worked as a machine operator at Everett Piano Company, Clarion and other machine shops in the South Haven Area. Dan enjoyed Bowling and was part of the J & M Tool bowling team for 14 years. He was an avid golfer. Dan was a member of The Branches Church in Lacota, Michigan.He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Imo Pratt who died in 1976. Two sons – Dan and Donald Pratt. Three brothers – William, Lester and Chester Pratt and two sisters – Marian Powers and Esther Burrows also preceded him.He is survived by Four sons – Jack (Janice) Pratt of South Haven, Michigan, Jim (Marge) Pratt of Bangor, Michigan, Mike (Gail) Pratt of South Haven, Michigan and Robert (Janet) Pratt of Coral City, Florida; and one daughter – Mary (Richard) Watkins of Bangor, Michigan. 22 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Two brothers – Joseph (Mary) Pratt and Clifford Pratt both of Lacota, Michigan. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 on Friday, December 15 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Pratt officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Gideon’s.
