Adell's Obituary
Adell Stone, 96, of Covert died Saturday, November 11 at home.
She was born September 9, 1910 in Shannon, Mississippi to Rev. Lee and Bertha (Owens) Baskin. Adell worked at S.E. Overton retiring in 1972. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.
Adell was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha Owens and Rev. Lee Baskin; two sisters, Suelue Adams and Vertrine Morris; four brothers, James Baskin, Willie Baskin, Johnny Baskin, and Joe Baskin, and her daughter, Mary Nell Easterling.
Adell is survived by her husband Thomas Stone of Covert, MI; one son, Curtis (Waltrud) Jones of Covert, MI; four daughters, Shirley Jones of Hammond, IN; Annette Hunt of East Chicago, IN; Ernestine Taylor and Gayle Stone of Atlanta, GA; and great-grandson, Adrian Jones of East Chicago, IN. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
Wake will be Saturday, November 18 from 11 – 12 at the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 P.M. at the church with Pastor Charles Knox officiating.
