Juanita's Obituary
Juanita Guzman, 53, of South Haven died Tuesday, November7 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
She was born January 19, 1953 in Harlingen, Texas to Jesus and Vicenta (Garcia) Hernandez. Juanita married Raymond Guzman on September 18, 1979 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Juanita enjoyed flowers and gardening. Juanita also loved to go to garage sales and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her father – Jesus Hernandez who died in 1992.
She is survived by her husband – Raymond Guzman of South Haven, Michigan. Three sons – Boyd (Nicole) Guzman of Bangor, Michigan, Joseph (Jessica Hentschel) Guzman of Holland, Michigan and Nester Guzman of South Haven, Michigan. Two daughters – Anita Bodfish and Samantha Guzman both of South Haven, Michigan. Her mother – Vincenta Hernandez of Bangor. Seven grandchildren – Mitchell, Michael and Matthew Bodfish, Cody, Breanna, Andria, Jared Guzman. One brother – Chava Hernandez. Seven sisters - Nena Oviedo, Emelia Copado, Ofelia Murillo, Maria Hernandez, Carman Santiago, Emelda Munoz, and Irmar Galavis.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 9 from 6 – 8 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home and Friday from 11 – 1. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 P.M. at St. Basil Catholic Church with Father Robert Flickenger officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, South Haven.
