Ian Taylor's Obituary
Ian Taylor Davis, 17, of South Haven died Tuesday morning, October 17th, 2006, after the car he was driving hydroplaned on the wet pavement and crossed into the northbound lane. Ian was born September 7, 1989 in South Haven, MI. He is the son of Brian Davis and Tracey Taylor Davis, and the brother of Sean Davis of South Haven.
Ian was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of South Haven and its choir. He attended South Haven High School where he was an exceptional student and participated in Choral, Choir, Band, Football, and Swimming. Ian was also an active youth member of Our Town Players – South Haven Community Theater and had a deep love for the performing arts.
Ian loved humor and was a great fan of SpongeBob Squarepants, Monty Python, and imitating Arnold Schartzeneger. He loved fantasy from Lord of the Rings to Harry Potter. His creativity ranged from origami to drawing, and painting miniature figures
Ian’s friends and family remember him as always knowing what to say and when to laugh. He was the heart and soul of every group that he participated with. He was quick to smile and slow to anger, and will be missed.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 21st, 2006 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church at the corner of Center and Michigan. The funeral will be held at the new Listiak Auditorium attached to the High School at 2:30 p.m Sunday October 22nd with Pastor John Fischer officiating.
Memorial contributions should be made to the South Haven High School Music Department in Ian’s name.
