John Henry's Obituary

John Henry Bloodworth Sr., age 78, of Inkster, Mi., formerly of Covert, died August 18, 2006 at his residence. He was born July 18, 1928 to Dock and Amy (Balkcom) Bloodworth in Chicago, Illinois. John graduated from Covert High School in 1947. After high school he joined the Air Force. He worked as a Director of the Department of Public Works (DPW), for the City of Inkster when he retired. He was a member of the Elks Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and his daughter, Debra A. Ware.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Velma Bloodworth, one sister, Jean Peoples of Covert, MI., one daughter Darlyne Felder of Inkster, MI., one son John H. Bloodworth Jr. of Inkster, MI., four grandchildren, Avery Bernard Ware Jr., Robert Dameon Ware, Arnold Felder, Jr. and Danielle Bonner, and a host of great grand children, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A wake will be held Saturday, August 19, 2006 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Covert Community Church. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m.. Burial will take place at Covert Cemetery.
