Virtnater's Obituary
Virtnater Brown, 87, of Covert died Tuesday, August 1 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
She was born January 26, 1919 in Covington, Tennessee to Walter and Emma (Scott) Cunningham. Virtnater married Walter Thomas Love Sr.
She worked at SE Overton Company for 10 years. Virtnater was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in South Haven Township and served as an usher. She also was secretary of the usher board. She enjoyed sewing and made lots of clothing.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Walter Thomas Love Sr. and her son Walter Thomas Love Jr. who died in 1997. Five sisters and four brothers and two grandchildren – Tommy Ray Love and Gregory Love also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter – Lottie Whitmore of South Haven. Four grandchildren – Wendell Whitemore, Gwen Whitmore, JT Whitmore and Mark Whitmore. Seven great grandchildren. One brother – Walter “Sam” Cunningham of Chicago, Illinois. One sister – Lottie Cunningham of South Haven, Michigan also survives her.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 8 at 1:00 P.M. at the Trinity Baptist Church of South Haven with Pastor Charles Knox officiating. The wake will be from 12:30 until the service begins at the church. Burial will take place at Covert Cemetery, Covert Township.
