Grace's Obituary
Grace C. Stanisz, 81, of South Haven died Wednesday, May 24 at home.
She was born May 1, 1925 in Covert, Michigan to Charles and Anna (Castronovo) Gargano. Grace graduated from Covert High School. She married John J. Stanisz on August 2, 1948.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – John Stanisz who died in 2000.
She is survived by three sons – Larry (Jean) Stanisz of Lansing, Michigan, Ken (Karol) Stanisz of Coloma, Michigan and John (Kathy) Stanisz Jr. of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Five grandchildren and four great grandchild. Two brothers – Frank Gargano of Watervliet, Michigan and Phillip Gargano of Coloma, Michigan. One sister – Pauline Montgomery of St. Joseph, Michigan also survives.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 on Friday, May 26 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7:00. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at St. Basil’s Catholic Church with Rev. Father John Young officiating. Burial will take place at McDowell Cemetery, Casco Township. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Basil’s Catholic Church.
