Frances M's Obituary
Frances Hosier, 93, of Spring Lake Township formerly of South Haven passed away on May 22, 2006 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born January 6, 1913 in South Haven, Michigan to Paul and Anna (Petersen) Sorensen. Fran retired from South Haven Community Hospital in 1984 after 30 years of service. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
Ernest and Frances formed the Lakeshore Travel Club in 1968 which enjoyed over 1200 members. For over thirty years their group traveled all over the United States and the world. The close friendships formed over their hundreds of trips made Ernest’s and Frances’ travel club members an extended part of their family.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernie who passed away in 2004 and one brother Frank Sorensen. She is survived by her son Thomas (Janet) of Rochester, Minnesota: two daughters Shirley (Ted) Poulton of Grand Haven and Nancy (Richard) Hagy of Cape Coral, Florida: eight grandchildren: Tracy, Scott, Amy Tim, Lindsey, Jodi, Jessi, Jami and great grandchildren, Morgan and Blake.
Memorial service will be Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Haven with Rev. Robert Linstrom Officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the South Haven Community Foundation.
