Nancy Welch

Rev. Nancy Welch, of Covert, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Country Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in South Haven. She was born on April 9, to Cleveland Morton and Beula Griffin Morton in Sprott, Alabama. Nancy was a member and associate pastor at First Baptist Church of Covert. She loved to sing, cook, take care of others and do God's work. She is preceded in death by her parents and 11 siblings. Nancy is survived by her husband of 50 years– Sylvester Welch, Jr.; one daughter – Willet Welch; four step children – Sylvia (Charles) Jones, S. Maurice (Bernice) Welch, Melba Welch, and Darnetta Welch; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Wake will be Monday, October 22, 2012 from 12:30 to 1:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church of South Haven. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the church with Pastor Adrian Massenberg officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you give flowers to someone while they are living.
