Kenneth Shore

Kenneth Shore, 81, of South Haven, formerly of Kalamazoo, died Sunday, November 4, 2012 in South Haven. He was born and raised in Worthington, Minnesota.  He received his BA from the University of Minnesota where he was affiliated with Alpha Delta Phi fraternity.  Ken served his country in the US Army during the Korean War from the safety of France.  He then spent several years in Chicago where he started his advertising career writing package backs for cereals.  Despite this start he continued in advertising for his entire life starting his married life in Fort Lauderdale, then Baltimore, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo with his wife Marcia Engbers Shore.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother – Raymond Shore.

Kenneth is survived by his wife – Marcia; son – Allen (Jayne Remmelts) Shore of Rockford; and 1 grand daughter – Suzannah Shore and brother-in-law - Jim (Harriet) Engbers of Grand Rapids, MI.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 11, from 2 to 4 pm at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven.  Funeral services will take place Monday, Nov. 12, at 11:00 am at the Douglas Congregational Church U.C.C. with Rev. Kathryn L.
