Carrie's Obituary
Carrie Cathryn Kohlhoff, 86, of South Haven, died at her home on Monday, January 14, 2013. She was born September 25, 1926 to Eugene and Ethel (Gage) Hill in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. Cathryn worked as a cook and server in the South Haven Public Schools from 1976 until retiring in 1988. She enjoyed gardening and traveling. Cathryn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as well as her time at the school with the kids. She was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Haven.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband – Frank Kohlhoff, and brother – Ernest Hill.
Cathryn is survived by her son – Gordon (Teresa) Kohlhoff of South Haven, daughter – Janice Wood of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; grandson – Jason (Victoria) Kohlhoff; 3 great grandchildren – Jesse Howard, Destiny and Nolan Kohlhoff.
Visitation will be Friday, January 18 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19 at 1:30 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Linstrom officiating. Cathryn will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven. Contributions can be made to Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cathryn’s memory.
