James's Obituary
James Brown Jr., 66 was born on November 29, 1946 to James and Lucille (Horton) Brown in Hughes, Arkansas. He was a hard working man and was a helping hand whenever was needed. James worked at Bohn Aluminum in South Haven, MI for sixteen years and Transmatic in Holland, MI for three years. James enjoyed helping his community. He united at First Baptist Church in Covert, MI and became an usher and has fellowship at Emmanuel Community Church for over a year.
He is preceded in death by his parents – James Brown and Lucille (Horton) Brown, his brothers – Tommy Horton, Robert Horton, and Joe Brown and his sisters – Minnie M. Smith and Lula Mae Gutierrez.
James leaves to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy to his companion; Thresa McAllister of South Haven, MI, his eleven children – Jimmy Lee Brown, Banard Brown, and Shawn Brown of New York, Helen Brown of Covert, MI, Amelia Bryant and Julia Brown of Kalamazoo, MI, Carlos Echols of Holland, MI and DeAjame Brown and David Brown of South Haven, MI. One sister – DaVera Collins of Hughes, Arkansas and one brother - Rev. Jimmy Brown of Marion, Indiana. Thirty-eight grandchildren, and close friends – Bobby Hamilton, Daisy Brown and Henry Vaughan of South Haven, MI, JC of Covert, MI and Gail Ward of Covert, MI,
