David Harrison Bartholomew

David Harrison Bartholomew, 55, of South Haven, died Monday, March 25, 2013 at his home. He was born on June 29, 1957 to George and Dorothy (Allen) Bartholomew in South Haven. David was a loving husband, father, and PaPa. David was a 1975 graduate of South Haven High School. He married Doreen Otto on August 29, 1981 at the First United Methodist Church of South Haven. David worked as a fabrication welder for the Haworth Steel Plant in Holland for thirty years. He enjoyed snowmobiling and car restoration including his 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

David is survived by his wife of thirty-one years – Doreen Bartholomew; son – Wade (Amanda Henderson) Bartholomew of South Haven; daughter – Stacey (Brandon) Krueger of Ramstein AFB, Germany; granddaughter – Annalyse; brother – Bill Bartholomew of Bangor; sister – Alice Noskey of South Haven. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Friday, March 29, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Kruithoff officiating. Contributions can be made in David’s memory to the American Legion Post #49. David will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven.
