Clara's Obituary

 

 

Clara Jean “Clary” Crow died on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Rose Arbor Hospice. Clary was born in Lacota, Michigan on December 7, 1921, the daughter of Glenn and Eula (Westcott) Robbins. She graduated from South Haven High School in 1939 and Grand Rapids School of Cosmotology in 1940 and worked as a beautician for several years in South Haven. She retired in 1984 after twelve years as a Reading tutor and office clerk at Lincoln Elementary School. She and William Crow were wed on February 24, 1942, and lived all their lives in the South Haven area.

She is survived by her daughter – Cathy (Joe) Underwood of South Haven; son – Glenn (Brenda) Crow of Kalamazoo; four granddaughters – Cathy (Adam) Pyle, Kari (Chris) Woodall, Kristy (Matt) Jenks all of South Haven, and Rebekka Jean Crow of Kalamazoo; and one grandson – Jacob William Crow of Kalamazoo. Also four great granddaughters, Haley and Chloe Kinney, Macy Jenks, and Karlie Woodall; and four great grandsons –Christopher Woodall and Rylan Jenks, and Tyler and Shawn Pyle; one sister in law – Jeanette Crow;  one niece - Sharon (Bob) Tufts; one special cousin – Helen Sharp and several nieces and nephews.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years; one son – Mike; her parents, and a brother – Duane (Buck) Robbins.

No services are scheduled at this time. Contributions can be made in Clara’s memory to Rose Arbor Hospice.
