Betty's Obituary
Betty Ellen Hiatt, 89, of South Haven, died Wednesday, Mach 27, 2013 at Grace of Douglas Nursing Home in Douglas. She was born on September 11, 1923 to Oscar and Kathryn (Randolph) Ingram in Chicago, Illinois. Betty spent many years picking fruit for area farmers. Betty was a volunteer at the Al Van Humane Society.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Charles E. Hiatt and three sisters – Arlene Villwock, Georgie Kipen, and Shirley Barnes.
Betty is survived by her son – Bill Hiatt of South Haven; two sisters – Ardith Johnson of Spring Valley, California and Dorothy Carrier of Davenport, Florida. Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 1 P.M. at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township.
