Karen's Obituary
Karen M. (Erickson) Hendrix, 66, of South Haven, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. She was born October 29, 1946 to Martin and Matie (Wright) Erickson in South Haven. Karen worked as a commercial seamstress and enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, and cooking. Karen was extremely creative and known for her talents.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Karen is survived by her children – Mark (Christine) Teibel Sr. of Schererville, IN and Debra (Jason) Rabedeau of Portland, OR; six grandchildren – Markie, Nick, and Nathan Teibel, Daisy-Jane, Dude, and Roy Rabedeau; and brother – Greg “Chic” Erickson of South Haven.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 7, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Jarvis officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family – envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Karen will be laid to rest at North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores.
