Beatrice's Obituary
Beatrice Krogel, 85, of South Haven died Friday, May 24, 2013 at Grace of Douglas Nursing Community. Bea was born August 8, 1927 in South Haven to John and Flora (Newton) Cogswell. Bea worked at Everett Piano Company for over 20 years retiring in 1987. Bea married Bernard Krogel on August 3, 1985. Bea was a member of Peace Evangelical Church in South Haven. Bea enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Bea was preceded in death by three grandchildren – Scott Zmuda, Ben Schewe and Brook Krogel. Brother – John Coswell and sisters – Zelma Schultz, Marium Baker, Edith Willson and Bertha Lockwood.
She is survived by her Husband – Bernard Krogel of South Haven. One daughter - Carolyn Zmuda of South Haven. Two sons – Rick (Alta) Schewe of Grand Junction, MI and Steven (Carol) Schewe of Pullman, MI 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Two sisters – Mary Lou Busscher of Battle Creek, MI and Dorothy Vaught of Benton Harbor, MI. Several step children and their families also survive.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, May 29, from 10 to 11:00 AM at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastor Dean Beckwith officiating. Burial will take place at Monks Cemetery in Geneva Township.
