Donna's Obituary
Donna Heald Jensen, 78, of South Haven passed away on June 7, 2013 at home. Donna was born on December 3, 1934 in South Haven to Arthur and Josephine (McIntosh) Heald. She graduated form South Haven High School in 1953 and then attended Michigan State. Donna worked at Fisher Body in Lansing before returning to South Haven. She met Chuck Jensen and they were married on March 4, 1961 in St. Joseph. They had two sons Robert and Karl. Besides taking care of their home and sons she also helped in the family business, Jensen’s Fishery. After they retired form their business in 1988, Donna enjoyed puzzles, chess and reading. She was a wonderful care provider for Chuck when he was later confined to a wheelchair.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents.
Donna leaves husband – Chuck and her sons – Robert (Kathy) and Karl of South Haven, MI. Her brothers – Carl (Pat) Heald of St. Joseph, MI and Jerry (Carol) Heald of Albuquerque, New Mexico. A sister – Rita (Joe) Hanson of Tampa, FL, sister –in-law – Elsie Hamman in Phoenixville, PA. Many nieces, nephews and several cousins also survive.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 11, from 4-5 pm at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Al-Van Humane Society of South Haven.
