Richard Lee Cerny

Richard Lee “Ranger” Cerny, 65, of South Haven died on June 21, 2013 at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born on April 26, 1948 to Frank and Doris (Albers) Cerny in Benton Harbor, MI. Rick worked as a forklift operator for many years first at Randall in South Haven and most recently at Challenge Manufacturing in Holland, MI.  He was a long time member of the Moose Club of South Haven. Rick enjoyed watching NASCAR Races on TV, bowling and golfing.  He was a Michigan Wolverines and Miami Dolphins fan.

He was preceded in death by his father – Frank Cerny.

Rick is survived by his mother – Doris Cerny of South Haven, MI.  His brothers and sisters – Dale (Ann) Cerny of Norwalk, OH, Linda Wadsworth of Fremont, OH, Teresa (Richard) Bodfish of South Haven, MI, Sheila (John) Sila of Coloma, MI, Janet (Dan) Casselman of South Haven, MI, Robert (Sara) Cerny of South Haven, MI, Steven (Nancy Adkin) Cerny of South Haven, MI, Katherine (Ken) Maxwell of South Haven, MI and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 26 from 6-8 pm at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home.  Funeral will be on Thursday, June 27 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Koller officiating.  Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven.
