Bethel's Obituary
Bethel Ray Bowman Sr.,84, of Muskegon, Michigan, died on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon, Michigan.
He was Born May 23, 1929 in Carthage, Tennessee to Benjamin and Martha (Hardcastle) Bowman. He was married to his wife Elaine (Sink) Bowman on August 25, 1953 in Carthage Tennessee. Bethel was retired but in his prime, worked construction. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
Bethel is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elaine, daughter Patricia Bowman, brothers Harrison Bowman, Charley Bowman, Earl Bowman, Cordell Bowman, Paul Bowman, Hubert Bowman, Marcus Bowman and Bennie Bowman. Sisters Frances Schutz, Lucille Bowman and Helen Till. One grandson – Christopher Bowman
He is survived by his sons Bethel (Kathy) Bowman Jr. of Muskegon, Michigan, Wendell (Brenda) Bowman of Covert, Michigan and Christopher (Tonya) Bowman of Bangor, Michigan. 10 grand children and 13 great grand children also survive.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 24 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Filbrandt Funeral Home. The service will follow after at 1:00 PM with Pastor Tony Kuenzli officiating. Bethel will be buried at the Lakeview Cemetery next to his beloved wife Elaine Bowman.
