Kris Devon Overhuel

Kris D. Overhuel, 54, of South Haven, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the South Haven Health Systems. He was born April 5, 1959 to Raymond and Shirley (Underwood) Overhuel in South Haven.Kris was a 1977 graduate of South Haven High School. Kris worked as a service manager at Art Overhuel Motor Sales. He owned a lawn care business and Spastic Plastic Video Store. Kris loved watching the Detroit Lions and enjoyed boating and tinkering in his shop. Kris was a speaker and sponsor for AA. Most of all Kris enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother in law – Robert Teske.

Kris is survived by his wife Theresa Overhuel.  daughter – Deanna Overhuel; son – Devon Overhuel; step daughter – Rachel Kuenzli; two step sons – Rob Bard and Dana (Kathy) Kuenzli all of South Haven;  Two sisters – Kathryn (Roger) Acerra of South Haven and Diana Teske of Paw Paw; brother – Arthur (Jan) Overhuel of South Haven; one aunt – Katherine Kirchner of South Haven; two nieces – Kathy Mary Jepson and Rinda Vas. Ten grandchildren also survive.

A gathering for family and friends will take place Monday, August 19, from 4 to 6:00 PM at Kris and Theresa’s home, 124 68th St. in Casco Township.  Memorial contributions may be made in Kris’s memory to Stepping Stones.
