Lorraine L. Olson

Lorraine L. Olson, 83,   South Haven, died August 29, 2013 at South Haven Health Systems. She was born December 4, 1929 to Herman and Anna Pritz in Lacota. Lorraine worked at the Murphy Dime Store and the South Haven Rubber Company where she later retired from. Lorraine enjoyed traveling to Florida in the winter and did extensive traveling with her husband in the Air Stream Club. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband and tending her flowers in her rose garden. Lorraine was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Joseph H. Olson, Sr., son – Joseph H. Olson Jr., two sisters and six brothers.

Lorraine is survived by her children – Larry (Linda) Olson and Keith (Janice) Olson both of South Haven; grandchildren – Jim Olson of South Haven, Ken Olson of Memphis, TN, Judd (Aynslinn) Olson of Grand Rapids, Jody Olson of Minneapolis, MN, Nicole (Steve) Skodack of Grand Haven, Chris Olson of South Haven, Heather (Ryan) Johnson of South Haven, Kristie Brewer of Chester, VA, and Dustin (April) Brewer of Prince George, VA. Eight great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Lorraine will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lorraine’s memory to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
