Isaac's Obituary
Isaac Will Rice, 86, of Bangor, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 3rd, 1927 in Columbus, Mississippi, to James and Virginia (Reed) Rice. Isaac accepted Christ at a early age. He was in the military during World War II. Isaac was a factory worker in the steel industry in Harvey, Illinois for many years. He also worked as a truck driver. He attended the St. James CME Church in Chicago Heights and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
Isaac is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ossie and James Rice. Also by three sisters, Christine Madden, Rosalee Rice and Rosevelt Rice.
He is survived by his wife Johnetta and his children- Isaac Rice Jr. of Fargo, North Dakota. Tina Corder of Illinois. Gretchen Fletcher of Cleveland, Ohio. His brothers- Jessie (Katherine) Rice of Harvey, Illinois. Leroy (Doris) Rice of St. Louis, Missouri. Al (DeLesa) Rice. Sisters- Debra (Alex) Rice-Gordon of Bangor, Michigan. Margret DeSheilds of Dalton, Illinois, and four grandchildren
A wake will take place on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at His Place Cathedral of Faith. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM at the church. Isaac's final resting place will be in the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan.
