Fred's Obituary
Fred Lee Dunnigan, of South Haven died on September 17 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born on June 22, 1941 to Leo and Marvell (Boyd) Dunnigan in Mississippi. Fred worked for Bohn Aluminum for 30 years before retiring. He loved fishing, bowling and watch sports especially the Tigers, Lions and Pistons.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Desiree Y. Dunnigan; Brothers - Herbert Boyd and Leo Dunnigan Jr.; sister, Mary Ann Williams.
Fred is survived by his wife - Sandra Dunnigan of Kalamazoo, MI and his son - Fred Dunnigan Jr., of South Haven, MI. His brothers - Charles (Denise) Gipson of Kalamazoo, MI, James (Jackie) Gipson of Paw Paw, MI, Melvin (Kim) Gipson of North Caroline, MI, William (Ann) Gipson, Kalamazoo, MI, Raymond (Janise) Gibson of Kalamazoo, MI, Ronald (Annette) Gipson, Kalamazoo, MI, David Gibson, Kalamazoo, MI. His sisters - Brenda (Bruce) Wolterink of Portage, MI, Olee (William) Pettyjohn of North Carolina. Eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
A wake will be on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 1-2 PM with funeral service beginning at 2 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Deacon James Gipson and Deacon Ronald Gibson officiating.
