Janice Myrl Holman

Janice Myrl Holman, 84, of South Haven, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at the South Haven Health Systems in South Haven, Michigan.  Janice was born November 7th, 1928, in South Haven, Michigan, to Merrill and Hilda (Reese) Ruell. Janice was a graduate of South Haven High School in 1946. She married Harold Holman on April 26, 1947, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in South Haven which she also was a life-long member.

Janice’s love for her family and friends was the focus of her life. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a loyal friend, and devoted caregiver. Janice’s infectious laugh and love for life were well known by all who knew her. Treasured memories include hours shared around the kitchen table, homemade sugar cookies and her secret recipe for macaroni and cheese.

She is preceded in death by a son, Michael James Holman, her husband Harold Holman and a sister Kathleen McGuirk.

Janice is survived by her children –  Joseph (Adrienne) Holman of Fishers, Indiana, Thomas (Brenda) Holman of Branson, Missouri, and James (Cindi) Holman of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one sister - Nancy (Remley) Wilhelm of St. Louis, MO.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 12, 2013, from 6-8 pm at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. A Christian funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 13, 2013, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Joshua Becker officiating.  Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven, Michigan.
