Edythe's Obituary
Edythe “Edie” Jean Rockhold, 80, of Holland, died Monday, November 11, 2013, at the Grace of Douglas Nursing Home in Douglas. She was born July 29, 1933 to Fred and Jennie (Tichelaar) Tuinstra in Martin, MI. Edie was a member of Hope Reformed Church and served the church in many ways. Edie was an avid golfer. Her main dedication was her daughter and husband.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – William L. Rockhold and brother – Darwin Tuinstra.
Edie is survived by her daughter – Heidi (Tod) Howard of Holland; brother – Roger Tuinstra of Kalamazoo; sister – Pamela (David) Bradley of Plainwell.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Hope Reformed Church of South Haven with Rev. Curry Pikkaart officiating. Edie will be laid to rest at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park in Kalamazoo. Contributions may be made in Edie’s memory to the Hope Reformed Church in South Haven.
