James's Obituary
James "Jim" Podlasek, age 74, of Grand Junction died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at his home. He was born on June 23, 1939 in Chicago, Il. Jim served his country in the army during the Veitnam War. Jim married Elaine Niarhos on June 29, 1969. Jim worked as a county clerk for Cook County for 10 years retiring in 1997. He and his wife moved to Grand Junction in 2005. Jim loved to fish, hunt and watch football on TV.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lorraine Rossi and Nanny Gompert.
Surviving is his wife, Elaine Podlasek. Two daughters - Melanie (Angelo) Risolvo of Schiller Park, Illinois and Natalie (Glenn) Seiffert of Elmhurst, Illinois. Three grand children - Ashley, Nicholas and Alexandra. Sister - MariAnn (Jack) Lange of Grand Junction .
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 6, from 6 to 7:30 PM at the Filbrandt Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
