Dewey's Obituary
Dewey Jay Huitt, 61 of South Haven, Michigan died December 8, 2013 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital, in Kalamazoo. He was born November 16, 1952 in Allegan Michigan to Dewey and Esther (Estes) Huitt. He graduated from Allegan High School and then worked with his father at Huitt and Son Junk Yard in Allegan, Michigan. Dewey also worked as a customer service representative in the tire department of the Sears and Montgomery Ward's, both in Kalamazoo. In his free time, Dewey enjoyed taking pictures.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Esther Huitt. He is survived by his daughters, Hope Huitt of South Haven, Michigan, Heather Huitt of Grand Junction, Michigan and Heidi (Paul) Woodruff of Marne, Michigan, ten grandchildren and his sisters Mollie Dominick of Bangor, Michigan and Jill (Allen) Scott of Okeechobee, Florida.
The visitation will be Monday, December 16, 2013, at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. The funeral service will follow at 7:30 P.M. officiated by Pastor Theron Crawford. Dewey will be buried at the Oakwood Cemetery in Allegan, Michigan on Tuesday, December 17, 2013.
