William Arthur Brush

William Arthur Brush, 89, of South Haven died on January 11 at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.  He was born on November 21, 1924 to Forest and Flora (Bailey) Brush in Casco Township, MI. Bill served his country in the United States Army during World War Two. He was a 4-H leader and taught wood working. Bill farmed for many years and owned a home on Hutchins Lake. Bill worked for Plummers Gas Station in Ganges and for the Fleming Brothers Oil Company.  He also owned several gas stations. He married Helen Burrows on June 27, 1952. 

Bill is preceded in death by his parents and his brother - Raymond Brush.

He is survived by his wife - Helen Brush of South Haven, MI, his children - Cathy Meyers of Holland, MI, Donna Beaucamp of South Haven, Mark (Ann) Brush of Hamilton, Karen (Randy) Morey of South Haven, MI. Eleven grandchildren and Nine great-grandchildren.  His siblings - Betty Brush of Virginia, Leon (Patsie) Brush, Alan (Kay) Brush, Roger (Eunice) Brush of Holland, MI and Ronald (Patricia) Brush of South Haven, MI.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2:00 PM with Rev Jeffrey Dick officiating at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township. Contributions may be made in Bill’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
