Emiel's Obituary

 Emiel “Mick” E. Lycke, 83, of South Haven, died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the South Haven Health Systems. He was born April 9, 1930 to Leo and Emma (Kelly) Lycke in Jackson, Michigan. Mick had many jobs during his career. In St. Louis he sold insurance for Mutual of Omaha and worked for 7-Up. He also sold insurance in Michigan and then worked for Pepsi-Cola in Benton Harbor. Mick served as a volunteer EMT in Coloma. Before retiring, Mick escorted wide loads coast to coast and hauled travel trailers for Jayco all over the country. Mick served his country in the Army Air Corp during the occupation of Japan following World War Two and the US Navy as a radio operator. Mick married Juanita Crawford on October 2, 1993.

He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Juanita Joyce Crawford; sister – Shirley.

Mick is survived by his four children – Dennis (Sally Ann) Lycke of San Diego, Annamarie Lyke, Nina Lycke, and Gina Howe, grandchild - Jordon all of St. Louis, MO; seven step-children – Charles (Rebecca) Crawford, Blanche (Monty) Booth, Robert (Aggie) Crawford, Tim (Nellie) Crawford, Pamela (Craig) Beck and Mary Zimmerman all of South Haven, and Rex (Linda) Crawford of Stanford, Florida; 30 step-grandchildren and 21 great-step-grandchildren also survive.

Mick will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery. Services will be scheduled at a later date.
