Myrtle's Obituary
Myrtle Greta Beiter, 91, of South Haven died on March 14, at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. She was born on August 2, 1922 to Charles and Lena (Dahms) Weland in Chicago, IL. Myrtle worked as a secretary for Lucas Lumber Co., Erie Refinery Co., and DuWell, Inc. in Bangor. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bangor.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband - Donald Beiter in 2006 and daughter Ruth Couturier.
She is survived by her daughter - Sharon (Dennis) Doebler of Lindenhurst, IL, her sisters - Hazel Buskirk of Coloma, MI and Edna (Orrin) Coffinger of Lawrence, MI. 4 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 17 from 6-8 pm at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral will be on Tuesday, March 18 at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Joshua Becker officiating. Burial will take place at Hoppin Cemetery in Bangor. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Bangor or South Haven Hospice at Home.
