Ileen Christina Muth

Ileen Christina Muth, 87,  of Paw Paw, formerly of South Haven, died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at the Wings Hospice Home in Allegan. She was born August 14, 1926 to John and Pauline (Winkle) Hansen in South Haven. Ileen worked as an inspector at Bohn Aluminum for 28 years before retiring. She was a 1943 graduate of South Haven. Ileen enjoyed golfing, bowling and polka dances. She was a member at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church of South Haven.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by husbands – Robert Harris and Paul Muth; son – Bruce Harris; brother – John Hansen and sister – Evelyn Schlipp.

Ileen is survived by her children – Sandy (Bruce) Corwin of Decatur, Cindy Williams of Lawrence, Dixie (Bernard) Kewin of Gobles, Jeff (Lillian) Harris of Paw Paw, Paul Harris of Paw Paw, and Patty (Dave) McDaniel of Lawrence; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; sister – Jean Dykstra of South Haven and brother – Earl (Peggy) Hansen of South Haven.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at the funeral home at 2:00 PM with Pastor Catherine Martin officiating. Ileen will be laid to rest at the Lakeview Cemetery of South Haven. Contributions may be made in Ileen’s memory to the First Presbyterian Church of Plainwell or the Wings of Hope Hospice in Allegan.
