Fred's Obituary
Fred Davis, Sr., 86, of Cassopolis, formerly of Covert, died on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Niles. Fred was born on August 5, 1927 to Fred Lee and Helen L. (Tyler) Davis in Covert. Fred was a known brick layer and mason contractor in the Covert area for many years.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his first wife – Queen E. Davis; daughter – Marion step son – Paul Harbin, Jr.; and two brothers – Glen Tyler and Sherman Tyler.
Fred is survived by his wife – Sally (Goens) Davis of Cassopolis; children – Fred Davis, Jr. of Covert, Danny Davis of CA, and Katherine Davis of Kalamazoo; stepchildren – Steve, Tracy, and Dianna Jeffries all of CA and Milo Jeffries of Benton Harbor. 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
