Diana Jean Kowitz

Diana Jean Kowitz, 68, of South Haven, Michigan passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 in her home. She was born March, 31, 1946 in Douglas, Michigan to Frank and Bessie (Vedder) Remick. Diana enjoyed volunteering at the Casco United Methodist Church. She also attended Kibbie Christian Reform Church, taking part in their special activities. She enjoyed working on canvas crafts.  Diana loved being outdoors and had many great memories of picking blueberries with her sisters.  In recent years Diana liked going to the casinos, especially Gun Lake Casino, to play the slot machines.

Diana is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Stanley Kowitz, who died Feb. 12, 2013.

 She is survived by her children Al (Angie) Remick, of South Haven, Michigan, and Pamela (Daniel) Spratt of South Haven, Michigan. Her grandchildren: Brandon, Josh, Abbey and Allie Remick and Andrew and Kayla Spratt. Eight great grandchildren.   Her sisters:  Dixie Lewis of Grand Haven, Michigan,  Sandy (Richard) Holton of Everett, Washington, Linda (Jerry) Drake of South Haven, Michigan, Sharon (Bill) Kamen of South Haven, Michigan, and Nancy Hubley of South Haven, Michigan, and her beloved dog, Katie.

Memorial services will be Friday, May 23, 2014 at Kibbie Christian Reform Church starting at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Ken Kruithoff officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chambers Cemetery in Geneva Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kibbie Christian Reform Church.
