Linda's Obituary

Linda L. Crandall-Burrous, 69, of South Haven, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at her home in South Haven. She was born December 24, 1944 to Donald and Rose (Wakeman) Crandall in Watervliet, Michigan. After graduating from Bangor High School, Linda finished her undergraduate at Western Michigan University in 1971 and later received a Masters degree in education.  Linda married her husband, Cecil Burrous, on June 27, 1987 at the Bangor Church of Christ.  Linda taught elementary schools in both Covert and Bangor for 33 years until her retirement in 1998.  She was the director of Senior Ministries at the First Baptist Church of South Haven, a founding member of the Bangor Arts Council and a member of the Bangor Historical Society.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil Burrous  of South Haven.  Her brothers -  Donald (LeWain) Crandall Jr. of Bonita Springs, Florida and Lawrence (Jody) Crandall of Dowagiac, Michigan.  Her nephews - Jason (Keish) Crandall, Kyle Crandall, Dragon Tosic, Justin (Valerie) Crandall, and Jordan Crandall.  She is also survived by her special friends, James Myers, Denise and Todd Freeman, and Dick and Penny McNellis.

Memorial services will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at First Baptist Church  with Pastor Jerry Koller officiating. Linda will be laid to rest in Arlington Hill Cemetery in Bangor.   Memorials in Linda's name may be made to the South Haven’s Hospice at Home.
