Mina R. Bodfish

Mina Rosalia Bodfish, 94, of South Haven, died on Friday, June 13, 2014 at her home  in Casco Township. She was born September 4, 1919 to Ira and Genevieve (Bennett) Mills in Lansing. Mina married her husband of 41 years, Marshall, on November 11, 1938. She was a member of the Casco United Methodist Church and was active with the Casco Ladies Aide for many years.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Marshall Bodfish, sister – Winnifred Lafever, brother – Jarvis Mills, grandson – Jim Bodfish, and son-in-law – Craig Leins.

Mina is survived by her children – Terry(Kay), Robert (Sharon), and Richard (Terry) Bodfish, and Phyllis (Jeff) Poorman all of South Haven; one brother – Clair Mills of South Haven; sister-in-law– Maxine Mills of Florida; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Casco United Methodist Church with Rev. David Meister and Rev. George Fleming officiating. Mina will be laid to rest at McDowell Cemetery.
