Joel's Obituary
Joel Padilla, 42, of Bangor, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born May 18, 1972 to Manuel and Canuta (Hernandez) Padilla in Mexico. Joel was self employed in construction and performed handy-man work. He married Joanna (Acosta) on October 30, 2002. Joel was attended the St. Basil Catholic Church of South Haven.
Joel is survived along with his parents by his wife of 12 years – Joanna Padilla; three sons – Floyd, Emanuel, and Joel Andrew all of Bangor; siblings – Gabriel Padilla of Bangor, Breta Padilla of Hacienda Heights, CA, Adela Sandoval of Norwalk, CA, Simona Sanchez of Wittier, CA, Soledad Dominguez of Benton, AR, and Matildel Espinoza of Norwalk, CA.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the St. Basil Catholic Church in South Haven. Joel will be laid to rest at Hoppin Cemetery in Arlington Township.
