Morgan Leonard Martin, Jr.

Morgan Leonard Martin, Jr., 69, of South Haven, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at his home. He was born December 27, 1944 to Morgan Leonard and Cora Lee (Wilbanks) Martin, Sr. in Louisville, KY. He grew up in Cullman, AL and graduated in 1962. Morgan was a kind and generous man with an enormous smile and would leave all he knew in stitches with his unique humor and antics. He was an automotive master technician, tractor trailer driver and operator, construction worker, glass cutter and wood worker. Morgan's love for cars was only surpassed by his knowledge of them. He was even a drag racer mechanic in his younger years. Morgan was a proud son of the Choctaw Nation. Morgan loved gardening and cooking, he was known to have made the best chili. He loved spending time and talking with people. 
Morgan was a proud son of the Choctaw nation and had an unwavering love and bond with his creator. He would honor his love for his creator by carving traditional Native American flutes and played each one beautifully. Above all else, Morgan loved his family and his children were his entire world. The legacy and teachings he leaves behind will be passed on for generations to come.
Morgan married Michelle Lawson on August 29, 1987 at the Casco United Methodist Church. 
He is preceded in death by his parents.

Morgan is survived by three sons – Bobby and Corey Martin of Omaha, NE, and Morgan Martin III of Orlando, FL; three daughters – Chelsea (Benjamin) Martin Anderson of South Haven, Carol Duncan and Lori (Randy) Hale both of Cullman, AL; six grandchildren – Brittney and Josh Duncan, Jeremy and Amanda (Brett) Treptau, Monique Martin, and Torin Blackhorse Anderson; three great grandchildren – Peyton Duncan and Angel and Zander Hale.
Private family services have been held.
