Marguerite's Obituary
Marguerite J. Schlaack, 87, of South Haven passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Marguerite was born January 31, 1927 in Arlington Township. She was a 1945 graduate of South Haven High School. Marguerite worked as a beautician, school cook and housewife. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Haven,
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Hester Leitz. She is also preceded in death by her first husband of 51 years – Charles E. Schlaack and sister – JoAn Pascolini.
Marguerite is survived by her husband – Raymond Peckstein, whom she married October 15, 2005; three children – Merl (Patricia) Schlaack of Whitehall, MI, Carl (Melody) Schlaack of Ludingtton, and David Schlaack of Longmont, CO; eight grandchildren – Sarah Schlaack, Jennifer Siwek, Brian Schlaack, Megan Tafel, Brendan Schlaack, Kimberly Ahlgren, Casey Schlaack, and Dustin Schlaack; eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven with Pastor Stephen Daley officiating.
