Neelie's Obituary
Neelie Doney Stanfield, 87, of Covert, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at her home under Hospice care with her family by her side. She was born August 4, 1927 to Rufus and Mary (McBride) Borden. Neelie married her husband, Clarence V. Stanfield on March 12, 1992 in Paw Paw.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband – Clarence, daughter – Betty, and nine brothers and sisters.
Neelie is survived by her son – Ray (Stacie) Williams of Covert; siblings – Gilbert Borden of Russeville, AL, Lela Taylor of Grand Junction, Shirley of Dade City, FL, Frieda Harper of Brookfield, FL, Brenda Vandeuver of AL, and Ruby Darty of Russeville, AL; six grandchildren – R.D. (Paula), Regina, Kelley-Ray, Korrey-Ray, Brandie (Ralph) and Brittanie (Charles).
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Full Gospel Assembly in Hartford with Rev. Lonnie Truelove officiating. Neelie will be laid to rest at Fish Cemetery in Covert.
