Martin's Obituary
Martin “Micky” Dyke, Sr., 51, of Holland, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. He was born January 24, 1963 to Rodger and Evelyn (Daniels) Dyke in Holland. He graduated from Fennville High School in 1982. Micky served his country in the Navy on the USS Harlan County in the Mediterranean Sea. Micky drove semi truck for Jay Mack Trucking Company in Holland for several years. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping. Micky also enjoyed going to antique car shows. Micky was a jokester and loved to make people laugh. Whenever someone had a problem, Micky knew how to fix it. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving and compassionate person.
He is preceded in death by his father – Rodger Dyke; brother – Bobby Dyke; sister – Robin Lynn Dyke.
Micky is survived by his wife – Cynthia (Kluitenburg) Dyke; children – Natasha and Martin “Alan” Dyke, Jr. both of Holland; mother – Evelyn (Ken Perkins) Dyke of South Haven; siblings – Laura (Brian) Clemons of South Haven, Roger Dyke of Holland, Terry (Vicki) Dyke of Grand Haven, and Billy Dyke of Grand Rapids. 14 grandchildren, 13 nephews, 2 nieces, several aunts and uncles and his beloved dog – Rosie “Dust Mop” also survive.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Meister officiating at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Micky’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
