Barbara Jean Fuller

Barbara Jean Fuller, 74 years old of Covert, MI, received the call and went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, August 17, 2014.  She was born May 22, 1940 to Edward (a.k.a. Abe) and Virginia (Gunn) Webb-Franklin in Chicago, IL.  Barbara attended school and worked in Chicago, IL for many years.  She later moved to Montgomery, Alabama where she owned her own business known as “Barbara’s Lounge” in Montgomery, Alabama.  Barbara later moved to South Haven, MI where she joined First Congregational Church and she worked as a kitchen associate at Country Side Nursing Home in South Haven, MI.  In her latter years Barbara moved and became a resident of Covert Senior Housing.  Barbara loved her family, she was an avid shopper, she loved to sew and knit.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Juanita Grant, William Webb, Harrison (Yvonne) Franklin, Jerry Franklin, Ervin(Gwen) Franklin and her grandson Roger Bobby Webb, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Roger (Alesia) Webb of Covert, MI and her siblings; Rochelle Turner of St. Paul, MN., Larry (Gloria) Webb of South Haven, MI., Derrick (Bernice) Franklin of Chicago, IL., Darryl Franklin of St. Paul, MN., and a Brother-in-law Alonzo Grant Sr. of Chicago, IL.  Barbara is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, Mr. John E. Fuller III, Ms.Jessica Stephany and close friends at the Covert Senor Housing.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.  The funeral service will follow at 11:00 with Pastor Bernice Thomas officiating.  Barbara will be laid to rest in the Covert Cemetery.
