Lillian Emily Hostetler

Lillian's Obituary

Lillian Emily Hostetler of Hagar Shores, died on September 30 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.  She was born on September 28, 1931 to Art and Norma (Lennon) Truhen in Benton Harbor, Michigan.  Lillian worked for Midwest Timing and Twin City Containers during her working career.  She enjoyed bowling, gardening, mowing the lawn, cutting wood and loved to go to the casinos. Lillian was married to Howard Hostetler for 40 years.

 

Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard Hostetler, one daughter; Valarie Odell in 1998 and her grandson, Anthony Lavanway.

She is survived by her daughter: Patricia Pope of Covert, MI, her grandchildren: Christopher Pope, Deanna Pope, and Lance Lavanway and her great-grandchildren: Lauren and Carson Pope and Zoe and Logan Lavanway. Her sister - Barb  (Clyde) Hammond of Hartford, MI and Don (Carol) Truhen of Federo Valley, WA.

The visitation will be at North Shore Memory Gardens Chapel on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 12:30 P.M. followed by the graveside service at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Fred Adrian officiating. Lillian will be laid to rest at North Shore Memory Gardens, Hagar Shores, MI. The family has requested plants only. No cut flowers or plastic flowers.
