Gerald's Obituary
Gerald Brinks, 86, of South Haven died on October 29 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. He was born on July 6, 1928 to Harm and Clara (Dunslar) Brinks in South Haven, Michigan. Gerald own and operated Brinks Brothers and Son Well Drilling for many years. He loved to watch NASCAR races, enjoyed farming and in his earlier years he enjoyed hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Ethel Brinks, his daughter; Cynthia Brinks, his son; Preston Brinks, siblings; Grayce Barthel, Steve Brinks, Bud Brinks, Herman Brinks Jr., Elizabeth Springett, Robert Brinks, Janet Novotny, and Marvin Brinks and his son-in-law; Robert Fritz.
Gerald is survived by his children; Tim (Gail) Brinks and Geraldine (Paul) Ignelzi of South Haven, MI, Carolyn (Clayton) McNeal of Las Vegas, NV, Cheryl Fritz of Kalamazoo, MI and 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. His brothers; Rich (Nancy) Brinks and William (Gladys) Brinks of South Haven, MI, his sister: Marilyn (Ronald) Eldred of South Haven and Alta June Michael of Florida. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 31 at 11:00 at Lakeview Cemetery. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery.
