Rafaela's Obituary
Rafaela M. Morales, 84, of Grand Junction, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at St. Anthony Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She was born September 15, 1930 to Rafael and Modesta (Gutierrez) Martinez in Mexico. She married Leopoldo Morales on May 5, 1961.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Leopoldo.
Rafaela is survived by her two sons – Lencho (Carolina) Morales and Sigifredo (Maria) Morales; five daughters – Cruz (David) Morales, Paula (Estreberto) Morales, Maria Luisa (Alfredo_ Morales, Ana Maria (Artemio) Morales, and Santos (Marcial) Morales; two brothers – Carlos and Ciro Martinez; five sisters – Flora, Esperanza, Teresa, Aurora, and Celia Martinez. 40 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be held from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 10:00 AM with Msgr. Leo Cartagena officiating at the funeral home. Rafaela will be laid to rest at Chambers Cemetery in Geneva Township.
