Laura's Obituary
Laura Annette Willett, 87, of South Haven, MI, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Countryside Nursing Home in South Haven. She was born December 12, 1927 in South Haven, MI to Lewis and Edith (Wheeler) Mitchell. She graduated from South Haven High School in 1945. Laura married her husband Charles Willett on October 26, 1945 at the First Assembly of God in South Haven, MI. Laura was an active member of Anchor Baptist Church in South Haven. She enjoyed writing stories and poems. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Laura is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Terry Mitchell.
She is survived by her children - Darlene Wickham of Orange Park, FL, Elaine (Bob) Bochniak of Orange Park, FL, James (Anne) Willett of Bangor, MI, Ralph (Sherri) Willett of South Haven, MI, Jerry Willett of Fennville, MI. 16 grandchildren. 18 great-grandchildren. Siblings - Lewis Mitchell of South Haven, MI, Georgia Nagel of Indianapolis, IN, and Ronald (Joyce) Mitchell of Mulberry, FL.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven, MI. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Anchor Baptist Church in South Haven, MI, with Pastor Theron Crawford officiating. Laura will be laid to rest next to her husband at North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores, MI. Contributions may be made in Laura's memory to the Anchor Baptist Church at 71925 M-43, South Haven, MI 49090.
